I have this radical idea that if we can learn to love and heal ourselves, we can then love and heal others, who will then love and heal others and so on...as opposed to the pain and deep chasms of separateness so many are experiencing today.
Therefore, my mission is to assist and support fellow humans in their healing and in caring for themselves by providing healing services, coaching, education, and resources.
Healing is now my life. What I mean by that is that I always knew I needed relief from lifelong chronic pain and other symptoms of dis-ease that were making daily life a challenge. The only problem was that I was running around in circles due to being wrongly diagnosed for many years. I wasted years playing whack-a-mole with my health in hopes of finding a magical solution to my depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD, only to finally learn that they were only symptoms of a bigger issue: Complex Trauma, otherwise known as Complex PTSD. Suddenly, it made sense, but it was hard to take. This was not some temporary setback that one can heal with a bit of meditation. This takes work. And commitment.
After a long and winding road that ranges from failing at life, playing catch up...all the way to overachieving in order to cover up my shame over having mental illness and then subsequently burning myself out, I find myself here. I'm ready to serve through teaching and healing. I have studied and continue to study the latest in trauma research and have learned and practice a number of evidence-based modalities to manage my symptoms of complex trauma. My focus is on psychoeducation, neuroscience, and mindfulness practices such as meditation, yoga, and art. I also practice energy healing and yoga as my spiritual practice. I've learned that healing trauma through the body is the first and most important step. There is no quick fix, but with the help of dedicated researchers and therapists, we finally have access to effective treatments, so let's get to it!
